How do I see my achievements on Xbox 2020 app?

Select My games from the menu, choose the game, and then select Achievements. Pick individual achievements to see a brief description about how to unlock them. You can also open the menu within the Xbox Console Companion app and select Achievements for a list of all your achievements.

Okay, Xbox has dominated the news cycle this week. They had everything from pre-orders to buying Bethesda or rather all Zenimaxmedia to launching the Xbox Beta app, which we will talk about in this article. Plus, X Cloud went live if you have Game Pass Ultimate.

We'll likely be watching this stuff in a number of articles, but for this one we're just going to stick with the new Xbox Beta app, which is available on Android At the time of this recording, it's only on Android. Also, this is a beta, too, so you can go to the google play store and download these yourself and give your feedback, i'm interested in your opinion too so be sure to leave the comments. Anyway, let's bring it up here and take a look.

It's definitely a lot more snappy. Below you can see the 5 different sections of the app. At the top right you have the notification bell syncing notifications is nice because you can check them in one place and they are deleted on other devices, which is where we are on the home page, so this is what you'll see by default when you open it.

To the right of that are your messages and friends. Then of course we all know that the magnifying glass is the search, and if we go further down we have the library tab and then of course on the far right your own profile, which also gives you some control over it, look at each of them, but we'll start here on the home tab. The first thing you see is jumping back into Isaac's bond for playing that.

I'm a little bit addicted to it right now. I'll stream it on Twitch.tv/akascratch if you'd like to try that out.

That would be super cool. A little further down you have the active friends and there is a shortcut to see them all. Go back to where I can manage some of the games listed.

This is also a shortcut to the store and to install on my consoles. Then below that are some other Xbox Game Pass s recommendations, what is popular and the like are all on the home screen. It's just a landing page of sorts.

Maybe some of this changes because I'm expecting to see just a little bit more summary or something, maybe some shortcuts to popular actions I do. Such things. I'm not sure, but this is here now.

It's useful, but let's skip over and check out the social tab. Right now we have our friends and our messages here on the social tab, we can compose a new message, we can create parties and that sort of thing. For example, when I click on someone you can see the highlights appear.

I can do one Send a message. I can look at his profile info. I can see what they were playing and then I have the other options such as invite to a party that I can do from here.

Here are the chats and they are going to be pretty loaded quickly for me, I noticed the requests coming in missing but this is back in beta so I expect this to be added in a future update w I'm just glad to have working messages on mine Mobile phone app loaded and working, because that has not been the case with me before. Then of course we have the headset with the chat microphone up here and can click on it to start a party. I have the options between speech and text.

I can add people down here and search for them and click their names which makes it easy. The vertical ellipses are for extra settings like mute the party, just invite soon and so on. The next tab is the middle tab which is a magnifying glass that most of you are probably familiar with is the search function.

You can enter in the search bar here and currently search for people or games. The top option basically just takes both people and games and contains the main choices for that search by showing them together. Also, you can click on the people or the games and view them at a larger scale.

You have the same additional options that you get from the other tabs when you click on. click it. Pretty simple stuff here for us to jump to the library.

Under the Library tab we currently have recordings and consoles. We'll start with recordings first. It's easy.

You can see here that I have my recordings uploaded to Xbox Live. When I play in a game and record something, be it a screenshot or a 30-second article, when it is uploaded to Xbox Live based on my settings, I get a notification on my phone letting me know it's for the Share is ready. Clicking on it gives me the option to save it directly to my phone, or I can hit the 'Share' button below and I have an Xbox right here to access my activity feed.

I can send a message below or choose from a recent friend. I can also click the ellipsis for more sharing options. This will download the file to my phone and give me options to share.

Whether it's Dropbox or an email message or OneDrive or Twitter, basically any app that can share media on your phone, you will see that option s there, right next to it we have consoles, this is where it shows my consoles and me can connect me to them for remote play, we'll cover that in another article, I can manage them too, meaning I can see and see what's installed and empty the space or make sure something has been downloaded. At the bottom right is a remote control icon. I hope you are seated; This is a HUGE improvement.

When I click on it, I go back to the last console I was connected to. I have options to connect to another console if I want you to see them. I have listed my other consoles here I can toggle it, shows me the current status.

My studio is on standby. It's not currently on, but I have an option down here to turn the console on. And with this granularity of knowing exactly who I am to control and to be able to switch back and forth between them is a much better experience than before.

And finally, we set up a new console for this tab. This will be very useful when you receive your new Xbox, whether it's a new Xbox is a series from Sor X. To be able to come in here and set up the console during day one updates and other things will allow you to speed up this process.

Plus, you don't have to type to try to use the article game keyboard with the controller. It's going to make it a lot easier and we'll probably cover that in another article when I set up my Series X to be honest. But just know it's there and it will be super useful.

And finally we have the profile, which you can see here it takes me straight to my highlights. This is what it looked like when I clicked on my friends. Right under my gamertag and what I do, there is an option to go offline or appear online and you can set that status and it will also sync with your status on your Xbox One or Series X when you sign in.

Below that we have highlights like what we saw before kind of the same link you saw on the home page. I can click on these and manage them by downloading them to my console and the like. Below that we have my bio and we have my friends' player score that the badges were missing, but I've said this twice, I think this is a beta so some of these things will likely change before they're fully released .

Finally, you can click the gear icon at the top for some of your profile settings, which basically takes you to your profile's personal settings that you can find on other Microsoft websites and apps, and overall I think this is a huge improvement over what I've used here before on my iPhone and Android while not on your Xbox and you hear a new game is being released or something is being announced for Game Pass and you want to make sure it's available when you get home come. This app makes it pretty easy to do that. Of course you can use the remote control.

Play on your console with a controller like this one, I really like the Razer Kishi. Shouldn't be a problem keeping up with hit streaks on some of my favorite games or just hopping around for a quick session I'll do it for this article. Hope you enjoyed it, I hope you download and leave your comments and everything below, I'm curious what you all think.

I know some things are missing but I trust it will be added in the future. I will still be submitting this for feedback but it seems like some of that is yet to come. When I first look at the beta, I think it's quite a is solid foundation on which I can build next generation and how this app holds everything together because my phone is my elixir of life, as I am sure to be for all of you too, so it's nice to see that attention is paid to integration here.

This will do it for me so we will sum this up, thank you all for watching I appreciate all of your support and can't thank you guys enough. I'll catch you all in the next article or twitch Twitter, whatever. Stay great, be excellent to each other and I'll see you guys next time Okay, so Xbox dominated the news cycle this week, they had everything from pre-orders to buying Bethesda or rather all Zenimaxmedia to launching the Xbox Beta app, which we will talk about in this article.

What is the point of Gamerscore?

Your Gamerscore is a quick and easy way to view your, or a friend's, gaming career at a glance. It never resets — the achievements you unlocked for Madden NFL 07 will forever be linked to your Gamerscore unless you choose to make a new Xbox Live account.

“Hey, I have a curious one, I have a question for you. Would you be ready to date me? '' Um ...

realtek findfile failed

I can't '' What if I told you I have over half a million gamerscore? 'Oooh, I can't, Despite all my friends, parents and future Ex girlfriend think success is really important, much more than you think, and I am living proof of that. I earned the title of 'Master' in 2015 based on my gamerscore, which means that yes, you sent me an Xbox One bundled with Kinect on the day of release - for free. This is actually the photo of me when I got it, it was one of the happiest days of my life.

Here we are 6 years later and I still use this thing all the time, with the $ 500 I didn't save for I had to buy this, I got myself a PS4. In the beginning the successes were damn good and also such a cool concept. Now I finally have a number that accurately reflects the amount of skill and dedication I have in playing.

A number that follows me in every single game I've ever played. Now is the fact that I completed Call of Duty 2 in Veteran Mode visible to everyone on the internet? Oh, what's this? Now every girl in town knows I've unlocked every single achievement in every Dark Souls game? What is there not to love? And man alive, I was hooked! Maybe a little too addicting ...

Unlocking Achievements was addicting - about as addicting as smoking cigarettes, I couldn't and wouldn't quit! Here's a little pro tip, you can get more nutrients out of your cigarette if you ingest it nasally. If you think I look like a rebel now, you should have seen me as a kid when I left school to play Hexic, Kameo, and PGR 3 like a real badass. I hung a duvet over my door frame at 1am on a school night so my dad couldn't see the light projecting from my TV while I was playing Perfect Dark Zero.

My grades went down, but my gamerscore was up. If they had implemented achievement in the Washoe County's school system, I would have just had A's ... but I didn't have, I had gay A's instead ... also known as 'Ds'.

Over time, some shortcomings became apparent throughout the achievement ecosystem. What I think damaged the accomplishments most during the 360 era was the development studios. Most developers really didn't know what to do with successes.

On the one hand, there were games like the last Airbender where you could get all 1,000 gamers scores in less than 3 minutes by pressing the B button for a 50-hit combo, and games like King Kong didn't help too much either, because here you could get all 1,000 GS by simply beating the short and simple story. Games like this were a bit rare back then, but they still depreciated gamerscore overall because you could inflate your number with almost no effort. And on the flip side, you had something like GRAW that had a performance that required you to get first place on the leaderboard, which means you literally had to be the best player in the world aka Tom Clancy to get it receive.

If you are looking to achieve this achievement today, it is estimated that it will take you around 4,000 hours of monotonous, busy work to unlock it. Who wants that? Then there were way too many achievements that required you to perform mind-altering tasks, like collecting every single green orb in the raid. Now Crackdown was great fun and collecting bullets through natural gameplay was very satisfying. but those in their right mind want to get a guide on their phone and follow them all the way to the tee to make sure you don't miss a single bullet to make sure this Cheevo pops.

After doing this myself, I can tell you firsthand that not only is it boring to achieve such an achievement, but it is also pointless because when you have collected 75% of the green balls, your character will have maximum agility Has. That said, you now have no reason to collect the rest of the rest orbs from a practical point of view, the insignificance makes it a tedious proposition. This achievement will now lead you to play the game in a way that is most likely to affect your experience with it.

With some games it was even worse, like in Assassin's Creed 2 there was an achievement for finding 100 feathers scattered across the map, there was no point I think you unlocked a cloak or something? Nothing really valuable. My point is, collecting things to collect things is just not great fun and a very lazy way to fill in the article game and try to make the player feel like they are accomplished. That's still an issue today, I mean, who really wants to collect every blob in the prototype, every Roman artifact in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, find all spaceship parts in GTA V, * keep all audio logs in WD Legion *, * or find them all Deer photos in Far Cry New Dawnall of this stuff you either have to call up a article guide on another monitor or just follow waypoints on your map - it's all busy work, I wouldn't call any of it a feat, I'd call it a waste of time.

With that in mind, multiplayer achievements like 'play 1,000 MP matches in FEAR' mean nothing, this is just a waste of time, you can literally hand the controller over to your blind friend and even he can unlock it eventually, all it takes is Time. In this case, which begs the question of what are you actually achieving? Alternatively, you can find games that take full advantage of achievements that can make a good game even better. Having to wear the garden gnome throughout Half Life 2 Episode 2's campaign completely re-contextualized my second playthrough of the game.

Having to carry the same cinder block from the start of a mission to the end of the mission in Modern Warfare gave me a reason to repeat a level I would never have revisited while shaking things up a little. Having to kill 4 enemies one after the other with a Discord bullet in surveillance forced me to experience calm and become one with Zenyatta - a character I would have completely ignored under normal circumstances. To achieve this I had to adopt a style of play that was so far out of my comfort zone, but it made me a better player in the long run and Zenyatta eventually became my main player in that game.

Properly executed achievements can give the player a compelling reason to explore elements of a article game that they would otherwise have ignored, it can add replay value by demanding near-perfection, as in Mirror's Edge, or by forcing ga players to just put a ball in Firing their playthrough of Half-Life Episode 1 or by encouraging the player to fire less than 500 bullets throughout the entire playthrough of FEAR 1, some achievements can make you a better player by challenging you to take zero damage through one of the boss fights in MGR: Revengeance in hard mode. This is exactly how success should be! They should be goals that improve extra playthings that force you to think differently about the game and encourage you to become a better player by doing something outside of your comfort zone. But success lists like this one are far too rare.

At some point, most of the success lists simply became a conclusive catalog of mediocrity in which we go through a passionate checklist to pick up every single collectible on the map and kill a certain number of enemies with a certain weapon, grab a certain number of headshots or stare at a smiley face on a rock. If it feels like we're completing a checklist of to-do items, it can really take all the fun out of a game, leave a sour taste in your mouth, and make the whole process more of a job than a hobby. What started as a really cool concept turned into a novelty as most of the developers didn't know what to do with it or just didn't know what to do with it.

Regardless, achievements and gamerscore never really evolved. The reveal and launch of Xbox One was very detrimental to the Xbox brand in many ways, which was all discussed at length but what was not discussed was the overall effect it had on performance. With a new Xbox, a new user interface came through - through Bad management or simple thinking errors: Your Gamerscore, that number that you built up for 8 years, was no longer proudly displayed next to your profile picture, but now hidden, you had to dig a little to find it.

Then MS oversaturated the GS scene by forcing every single game on the Xbox Marketplace to have at least 1,000 gamers scores, making it far too easy to increase your gamerscore. At the end of the 360 era, arcade games separate from AAA and indie games allowed a maximum of 400 GS, but now on Xbox One that 400 has suddenly been jacked up to 1000 GS. were largely ignored in the indie gaming marketplace - games that wouldn't have gamerscore associated with them on the 360 now allow a full quick and easy 1,000 here on Xbox One.

Gamerscore has never been easier to come by, the floodgates have opened and it just won't close, hardcore trash like Nut-Jitsu allowed you to get 1,000 Gamerscore in less than 45 minutes, Neogeo world heroes allowed the full thousand in 25 minutes only, energy cycle can be completed in just 15 minutes, -there are 100 more games out there that you can get the full thousand in a little more or less than 1 hour. I recently made a stream on Twitch where I gave myself 3 hours to see how much gamerscore I could get in that time. Since things have improved a bit over the years, all of your accomplishments are proudly displayed next to your pfp once again, there is now a leaderboard feature which is pretty cool and could also encourage you to get a gamepass and try out new games so you can try to overtake your friends for bragging rights.

When you unlock an achievement that is less than 10% of that article game population has unlocked, it makes a sexy little sound. While all of these new additions are great, if you ask me, it's not late enough, or too little too late, most of the accomplishments are no longer very satisfying to pursue and the landscape is just way too saturated with an abundance of simple ones Gambling, the simple fact is that achievements just aren't as important as they used to be and I'm not so sure if they will ever do it again. I think their time in the sun is over, and thanks to that, I've never had to spend time in the sun.

hotmail manage folders

But that's fine to be honest, because I had a great time chasing success back then and that can't take anything away from me. Goin for GamerScore encouraged me to get games I would never have thought of. Chasing GamerScore gave me meaning in life at a time when I didn't have one, it allowed me to make like-minded friends online through boosting sessions, friends who stayed loyal to me for a few years, and accomplishments essentially forced me to Playing thousands of games, I've played some of the worst garbage games imaginable, I've played some of the greatest games ever, and pretty much everything in between.

Which somehow worked out best, I'd like to believe that experiencing article games on such a wide spectrum helped me have a much more critical eye - maybe too critical at times. So what's the point of that? Video? Idk, I had to go on about something that has been on my mind for a couple of years and I was able to show that I have over 10,000 successes, I have objectively achieved more than Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps and Serena Williams combined. Yeah sure, Meryl Streep was nominated for 20 Academy Awards, but what's her gamerscore? Yes, I thought so, we'll see you next.
