Windows file convertor - typical answers and questions
Does Microsoft have a file converter?
Microsoft Office File Converter Pack is an awesome, free Windows software, being part of the category Software utilities with subcategory Text (more specifically Converters) and has been created by Microsoft.
If you've ever had to manually enter the information of a printed page into Excel, you know that it can be quite a chore.
Sometimes we only receive documents in paper form and need to have them electronically. Having to transcribe this information into Word or Excel is really tiresome. Instead of retyping it all over again, wouldn't it be nice to just snap a picture of it and delegate the work to an app? Fortunately, there is, and best of all, it's free.
Before we start, a quick thank you to today's sponsor Skillshare. I have a special link for you guys: It's in the description of the article. Check it out when you're ready.
I'll talk more about them and their classes, which by the way, you can watch on your phone towards the end of the article too. So stay tuned. Now let's talk about the free app you need to convert your pictures to text.
At the beginning of 2020 Microsoft released a mobile app called Office, which combines Word, Excel, PowerPoint in a single app. And that's not all: it comes with additional built-in actions like sticky notes, PDF tools, and file transfer between your phone and computer. Today we want to find out how we can convert an image of a document into an editable Word document with just one click.
And how we can convert a picture of a table into an Excel spreadsheet. Office is a free app for iOS and Android, so you can download it from the app store of your choice and start using it right away. After you've installed it, open the app and you'll be taken to the home screen.
There's a lot more to the app, but in the lower right corner you'll see a button called Actions. Click on it and you will be taken to all the available actions in this app. As you can see, there are many options and we will cover them in a separate article.
At the moment we are interested in two actions up here: picture in text and picture in table. Let's start with image to text. Let's say I have this document that I helped build when I was first employed as an economist in Canada.
It's been ages and I haven't looked at it in years. Let's say I want to get this conclusion page in a Word document. To do this, go back to the app and click the picture to bring up the camera.
Take a picture from the side. Once the picture is captured, you can use the handles on the edge of the picture to crop it. When you are happy with it, just press Confirm.
Now Microsoft's Azure image recognition feature will automatically extract the text from the image. We can check it out here and it recognized the text perfectly. Now you can press Share and the sharing controls will appear.
You can choose any app you want to use, such as: B. Message, Mail or Teams. Once you select an app, the text will be automatically pasted for you to share.
If I go back, the other option is to copy the text. Press the red copy button below. That will copy it to the clipboard.
You can now paste it where you want by tapping and holding on it. That's it! So that was picture to text. Now let's take a quick look at the image in the table in Excel.
Let's go to another page. We can go with this table, but before we do that I want to show you something. Check out these beautiful charts we made back then! So visually appealing, isn't it? I thought you might like these.
Okay, so let's get back to our table and see how we can integrate the table with our app. The process is the same as before, but instead of Image to Text from the action menu, we now need to select Image to Table. Again, we're going to take a picture of the document and crop the picture if necessary.
So in this case, I'm trimming it because I only want this first table. Select Confirm to extract the data from the image. After the image has been processed, you have the option to open it.
If there is anything you need to check, this is the information. In this case, we'll just open it without checking, so let's move on to open anyway. And that's it! This converts the data into a nice Excel spreadsheet.
Now you have it in Excel. All you have to do is save it. In this case, I save it on my OneDrive, give it a name and then you can access it from any device: Excel for desktop or Excel online.
Okay, now I'll switch to my PC and look at this file in Excel Online. So I just logged into my Office account. This is my file, picture in table.
Let's open it up. This is the table I scanned before. Those are the years, the numbers, everything looks good.
The numbers look good. They are recognized as numbers. We can test it quickly by simply summarizing these: and it works great.
I tested this on several documents in the office and it gave consistently good results. By the way, instead of taking a snapshot of a printed paper, you can also capture the text and tables from a computer screen. So if you are attending someone's presentation and taking a snapshot of the screen, you can also transfer the information to Excel or Word.
Here's how you can turn your phone into a free scanning tool that not only copies your picture, but turns it into information for you to use. Before such apps existed, or before I even knew they existed, I wasted a lot of time entering everything manually. Later I thought, why didn't I just google it? Well, I didn't think there was such a thing.
Sometimes you don't even know that there are things to look for. This is one of the reasons I like the courses on Skillshare. When browsing the platform, I sometimes come across courses that I would never look for.
Maybe there is a topic that piques my interest. I start to watch and then I learn something new or become interested in a new skill. For example, I recently came across a course on graphic design.
It was about creating a bold, colorful album cover. This is not a topic I would ever look for. But I found it really interesting.
It was great to see the creation process from the perspective of a creative person. This is just one of the thousands of classes on Skillshare. In addition to design courses, you will find topics such as music, photography, productivity, web development and much more.
The good news is that the first 1000 of my subscribers who click the link in the description will get a free premium membership trial so you can keep learning to explore new topics without being bothered by ads. If you want to continue your premium membership, it will cost you less than $ 10 a month to get the annual subscription. Thanks to Skillshare for sponsoring this article and supporting my channel.

What's up guys in this article I'll show you the three best article converters out there.
So sometimes you have a article and the file format doesn't work on certain devices or websites, or you just want to reduce the file size of your article, so we use filmora as it is an excellent article editing software and you can convert all file formats. However, we did our research. We found two other great article converter options that we are now going to recommend, if you decide you want to use them for Mura then you can try your three by clicking the link here or the description box below.
I'll give you five seconds to do this well. I'll have a sip of coffee and if you're new here leave us a comment below join the community alright let's get started, first let's check the mara off if the mora is a paid alternative but it's article editing software so you can have the added benefit of being able to edit your article before converting. It's also easy to use andstra simpler compared to the other converters I'm going to talk about.
To do this in Movie Aarya, you need to import a article file so you can click Import Media Files, then you can drag and drop the article file down the timeline and now it is ready to be converted so you can go ahead and click on it Click Export when converting your article under the Export tab. You will see all of the different types of options you have when converting your file. Just select the file format you want from mp4 then you can change the settings of the article, if you want to reduce the size of your article you can do so by either selecting a smaller resolution or choosing a lower bitrate when you select OK Then preview how small your article file will be.
Before we export, let's take a look at Handbrake. The most important thing that people love about the software is that it is free. It also does a great job of reducing the file size of a article while maintaining the Ima Ge quality.
Another great thing about Handbrake is the presets, if you are planning on converting a whole bunch of files that it is nice to have a preset that you can select over and over without having to manually change the settings again, and you can also do batch conversions A huge time saver. Some of the downsides are that the UI can be a little scary at first if you don't know much about resolutions and formats of Knowing about article codecs and if you end up needing help there is no relying on tech support as there isn't one, you don't have to do your research on YouTube and Google to find out how to do something. To convert a article file to Handbrake, click Open Source first, then click Choose File and choose the file you want to convert and click Open. For a quick and easy conversion, suggest Select one of the presets that best suits your conversion needs, then click Browse and choose where you want to save the file and rename it.
Then click sta rt Encoder now we're going to take a look at VLC Player technically, VLC Player is more used to play media files, but it can also be used to convert your article files over the years. I've used the software personally and I've found it to handle any file format out there I've never had a problem opening a file when using VLC. One of the downsides is that VLC has an outdated interface and a novice may have trouble navigating, when you open the software you won't see any kind of conversion or export buttons on the interface we have to dig into the menus to find what you are looking for to convert a article file and VLC.
Click on Media in the top left and then select the convert to save option if you want to add the article file you want to convert by clicking Add then select Convert in the bottom right if you want to change the codec or file format, you can choose the profile drop down menu or click the settings to create a custom profile, then choose where you want to save your file and then hit start you have it those are the three options I recommend for converting yours Videos Thank you for watching Don't forget to comment and subscribe and we'll see you next time

I'm just saying that I used this particular piece of software and it has worked for me now the name of the software you actually can use is called Anyarticle Converter you can get it right here from the App Store on your Mac There are about five different software with the same name that is actually not all that is just a few but this is the logo you are looking for you will find that there are two different versions we have a free version and a paid version the difference between the two that the paid version has no pop-ups that pop up occasionally and the paid version is the only version that allows you to batch process it, so if you have about ten different articles that you want to convert all well with the free version, this is what you need to do do it one at a time, while the Pro version lets you do it all at once so here I have the free version let's dive into it and I'll show you how easy it is to use now I have a little article file hidden here on my second screen right here from me, just do a little one of our little intro articles and all you have to do , your file is drag and drop whether it's audio or article, oh isn't that a flattering still image n down here you can see here that we have the more popular format. So if you really just want an iPhone and iPad Apple TV Galaxy Well one of these, you can just click on it, hit convert and you're good to go, but I want to show you that they have that other option too.
Here you can see all the different formats if you scroll all the way down. Okay, so the most popular article formats you see here as well as the most popular audio formats. When you're done, when you find what you found Let's say I want to switch from this MOV file to an iPadMini I just click where I want it, so I click here where there is output folder is called, and for this purpose I just click on the desktop, click on Open and finally click on Convert and you're done with article, that doesn't go very quickly, it definitely takes a bit of time with audio files I just found it through very, very quickly.
So if you're making articles, be ready to wait, maybe go for a cup of coffee or do you? something else while the conversion of your articles is taking time this is david a helmsman with pcclassesonline.com I hope you enjoyed this article, if you happen to be watching this article on youtube we will of course appreciate it if you click this little one Click the button and if you haven't already made sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so that you can always be notified when we post a brand new article
