Hello everyone, welcome to this article! Let's get a complete look at all of the features of Microsoft OneNote 2019 and see everything you need to know to get started! Visit our YouTube channel and official website for more news, tips, and additional content on all of the products we cover ! Microsoft OneNote is the perfect product for taking notes, filing sketches and storing information on your computer, tablet or smartphone with a very simple and essential workspace similar to a digital copybook. Starting with this version of 2019, OneNote does not require Office subscriptions as it is installed as a free app on Windows 10. Does not work on older versions of Windows and if you have a Mac you can download this product for free directly from the Mac App Store.
The main OneNote workspace is very simple: at the top is the toolbar which contains all the functions and tools available; On the left is the navigation area with all the notes saved in OneNote and on the right is the large preview where you can enter, draw and link files. The navigation area shows the basic structure of every document in OneNote. The notebooks are large collections of colored chapters called sections.
Then in each section you have all the pages with notes, drawings and attachments. You can click a notebook or section to open it and select any page to see it in the main preview. First of all, OneNote has a standard notebook with pages that contain various tips and suggestions for using the product.
You can create new notebooks, sections, or pages by right-clicking an empty area or using the plus buttons below. Any changes and edits made to a OneNote document are saved to the cloud every time you see a sync icon in a notebook. You can adjust the cloud settings by going to the last button on the right and then Settings, Options.
You can manage your notebooks, sections, and pages by right-clicking them to rename, delete, or change their color. To adjust their order, just click and drag one up or down. Let's see how you work with the pages.
A new page is completely blank and shows the creation date and the hour at the top. Enter above to rename the page and give it a title. Then click anywhere on the preview to freeze the pointer and start typing.
You can also open the View tab to set the appearance of the page, e.g. B. the background color with page color and the layout with ruler or GridLines Scroll by holding down the CTRL or CMD key and using the mouse wheel.
You can also work in full screen mode by using the arrow button in the upper right corner. As you work on the page, you create independent objects called notes that contain pieces of text, links, tables, and also file attachments within a gray outline. Let's check these out in detail.
When you type within a page, a text note is created that gathers the entire paragraph within its gray outline. You can use the Home tab above to adjust the text properties like font, size, style, color, and alignment. These changes are applied to a single word that your mouse pointer is over.
You can click the gray outline above to select all of the text and edit it completely. You can also add useful tags to any line of text using the Tags button on the Home tab. This includes general icons and also a to-do icon that you can click to mark as done.
Instead, use Create New Tag to create a custom tag. You can also use the Insert tab to import additional content into the page. Use Symbol to add special characters and Link to add clickable hyperlinks to parts of text.
Use table to define a table with a. to import number of rows and columns. Then click any cell to enter it.
These will automatically adjust to fit the text content, but you can set the cell size yourself by clicking and dragging their borders. In addition, you can use the table area to adjust the table layout, add or remove rows and columns, and adjust the color of the cells selected with shading. Click Hide Borders to hide or show the cell borders.
Use file to browse and import attachments on your site. These are added as simple notes with a name and symbol within the gray outline. You can open these files by double-clicking them.
Use Pictures and PDF to add pictures and PDF documents with a full preview open in the OneNote workspace. You can import tables, files and images within an existing text note in order to keep them linked within the outline. Just go to a new line and import the contents using the tools on the Insert tab.
You can use the tools on the Draw tab to draw on the page freehand. Activate the pencil, pen, or highlighter and click again to set the trace radius, its color, and its style. Then click and drag on the page to create your drawing.
You can also use shapes to drop lines, regular shapes, and charts by clicking and dragging on the page, or ink to shape and ink to text to transform your ink drawing into the most suitable shape or text. to remove any drawing by clicking on it. Now let's see how to manage all of the notes and objects within the page using the selection tool ON on the Draw tab.
This is also activated when you deactivate the current tool with the Escape key. You can move text, tables, and files by clicking and dragging from the gray outline. You can also use the arrows in the upper right corner to adjust your content distribution.
To move images, PDF documents, and drawings, just click and drag. You can also use Order to adjust the order of visibility when multiple objects are overlapping.

Hey guys, it's Eddie the wizarding monk. Today I'm going to show you how to set lined paper as the background in Microsoft Word so that every document you create from scratch in Word has lined paper as the background, I'm going to do you a favor and just upload it to the internet for you guys to use you can easily download it by clicking the link in the description below as background and you can overwrite it, insert images and so on, so I'll upload this to the internet for you to download, but as you learn want how to create it from scratch then I'll show you what I did, so basically I opened Microsoft OneNote so it's funny that in OneNote you can actually open a blank page to get a new one Page add and then you can just go to see what i did and click on rule? Lines and then just click what what you want, how wide you want the gaps to be, so let's say I want the lines to be that big, or you can choose these to make the gap ultra wide or make it very thin. You will then export that page, but before you do that make sure you clear the data on the page and then go to the file.
Let's print the page and print it as a PDF and make sure you tick the selection, otherwise it will all print other pages and then once you hit print you will save it to the desktop, so I'll call it's just lined paper 2 because I already made another one, so lined paper 2, save that and now a page will be created as a PDF file. What I then did was to export the file to a microsoft word word -Document went. Now you may only have this if you have Adobe Acrobat Pro that I'm using, so now I can export it as a Word document so I'll save that so now that the word document is now the problem with this word document is at the moment that it basically pasted the lines as a single picture okay and it has this weird font at the bottom that you need to delete but that picture is the problem, when you hit enter at the bottom of the page is the next page you won't have the line paper to fix what you are going to do is cut out this picture and then in microsoft word go to the view notview paste header blank ok so you will paste this picture in the header for you to paste this picture in the header delete the text that was there and paste the picture here and then when you pasted it you will change the alignment.
Make sure the picture is highlighted for what it is now. Go to Format to wrap the text it's behind the text Go to Alignment Make sure it's aligned to the side and make sure it's aligned center and center, so horizontal to center, vertical that it's in the middle of the page and now you can leave it click anywhere else to leave the header and now when you hit Enter at the bottom of each page it will have a lined background on every single page . Okay, you can do this with any type of background you want.
Instead of lines, you can also have grid lines that can be of different widths, grid sizes, different line heights and so on. Hopefully this helps you guys, thanks for watching see you next time.
How do I fix OneNote problems?
On OneNote, click File, and select Info. Click the View Sync Status button (or right-click the notebook and select Notebook Sync Status). If available, click the Get Help button to access additional steps to troubleshoot the particular issue.
You ever have OneDrive syncing issues like these. It's a common problem, along with a few other things that happen with OneDrive, and I'll show you how to fix it. Here are the steps I take to fix these common OneDrive sync issues.
The first step - hover over it and see what it says. Notice that Sync Files 1 Remaining appears. So there is one file that is having right click issues.
If there is a problem with synchronization, you will be given a menu option 'View synchronization problems', which in this case is not there. So we know we have a file, so all you have to do is look at that file and find out what's going on. In the menu, select Open your OneDrive for Business folder and look for an unchecked green check box in the list.
You can see right here that this project folder is not properly synchronized. Open it and look for the file that was not syncing and you can see here that this 2018 project list document file is not syncing. The quickest solution I usually do is to take this file and drag it to your desktop.
Make sure it has been removed from the list. OneDrive tries to sync the file again. Now take a look at your OneDrive and you will find that it no longer has any problems with syncing.
In this situation we can drag this file back here and it will be re-synced and the issues are resolved. Now when you find this file you will see that it has a green check mark on it. If you see View Sync Problem on your menu, it is usually because you have violated one of these file and folder restrictions.
You cannot sync individual files over 15 GB. The maximum file name is 400 characters. You cannot use any of these invalid characters.
You cannot use these filenames either. And you can't use these names for folders. Also note that if you exceed 100,000 files, you will experience some serious sync performance issues and finally, OneDrive for Business limits each user to 1TB of total storage.
If you've tried removing the file and restoring it back to the OneDrive location, and you've also fixed all the view sync issues, but you're still having issues syncing to OneDrive, there is another option that I think works , the repair is your office installation. Go to Control Panel, go to Programs and Features, find your Microsoft Office 365, click the Change button and do a quick repair. Click the Repair option to close all of your Microsoft Office applications and perform a repair.
When the repair is done, check it out and see if it works. Another thing to check that can affect synchronization is Windows updates. Make sure you don't have any pending updates or updates that require a reboot as shown here as this can disrupt the sync process.
If you've exhausted other options and are still having sync issues, you may need to stop and run the sync process again, which I can show you here. Right-click OneDrive, choose StopSyncing a Folder, click Stop Syncing, and click Yes. Click OK and the synchronization will stop.
Now, before you sync again, it's a good idea to go to your C drive and look at your home folder and switch to your specific user account. You'll notice that there are a OneDrive and OneDrive for Business out of sync changes, sometimes multiple. Look in there and see if there are any files that haven't been synced.
If there aren't any, I prefer to actually remove these folders and have them re-created when I sync again. You can also see your OneDrive file location and all of the folders. It can be beneficial to move these files out of the OneDrive sync location, run the sync so it's really quick, and then copy the files back when they're done.
So I'm going to select all of the files, move them to my desktop, or some other location. Now I right-click on Sync New Library again and it should show the options to sync with your folder. Occasionally you won't see a location here and then you may have to go back and do the repair of your folder and install Office again before actually syncing, but in this case I'll sync now.
It formally asks me for contact information. I'll choose a work or school account and sign in just like I do in Office 365 and sign in. It will start syncing the files and you can click the button to see the location.
You will notice that the green check mark is enabled for the folders that are being synced and a 1 is added to the end of the folder name to separate it from the original one I synced earlier. You will notice that both are listed here. To see the status of the sync, you can go to the OneDrive and see that it has 161 left.
Once that's done you should see the green check mark there and nothing left on your OneDrive sync. Now you can compare the files here to the ones you moved from the old location if you just want to check that nothing is lost, and you can now delete the original OneDrive location as it's empty and no longer needed. Hopefully one of these solutions worked so that you can fix your OneDrive sync problems.

Why does OneNote not print on the printer?
Hit print again, it puts another copy there but never prints. I can hit print 10 times and it will put 10 copies in the note book but never print them. All I want to do is what I had before. Hit print, the printer prints it. I don't want to go through any other programs, apps, menus, anything like that. Check your Default printer.
Is there a way to print one note at a time?
OneNote is meant to be a digital notebook, so there's no quick way to print all your notes at the same time. You can print one page at a time. If you don’t like the way a page looks when you print it, you can add more spacing on the page or go to File > Export, and export the page as a Word document so you can design the layout in Word.
What to do when OneNote says there is a problem with this section?
If you’re seeing the error “There’s a problem with the contents in this section,” try the following: Open the notebook in the desktop version of OneNote, which provides notebook recovery options. Post the specific issue you’re having in the OneNote forums on Microsoft Answers.
Why is OneNote hijacking my print jobs?
