Hello everybody! This article shows you how to recover data after resetting Windows 10, factory resetting a laptop, or reinstalling Windows.
In one of the previous articles, we already showed you how to reset Windows 10, 8 or 7 to the original factory settings. Often times, after resetting or reinstalling their operating system, users find that the files they need are missing. So here is a computer with files, documents, and pictures ...
To demonstrate data recovery, after resetting the system, let's reset the test computer. Similarly, you can restore user files after factory resetting a laptop or reinstalling Windows. To do this: • Go to Settings • Update and Security • Recovery • Click on “Get Started” in the “Reset this PC” submenu. • In the window that appears, select the “Remove everything” option. • “Just mine Remove files '• Next. • The system will be reset automatically.
Reboot It will take some time. • Some additional settings are required to complete the reset. They are similar to those used when reinstalling Windows.
Check out any of the articles on our channel to see it; find the link in the description. • The system has been reset and the files stored on this computer will be lost. After reinstalling Windows or resetting a laptop to its factory settings, you will face the same situation.
To restore files lost after a system reset, reinstall Windows, or factory reset a laptop, do the following: • Download, install and start Hetman PartitionRecovery. To do this, go to the developer's website and download it for free. Find the link in the description. • Scan your computer's hard drive using the tools this program provides • Click the C drive, select “Full Analysis” and click Next.
Remember that in Windows 8/10 the default location for all documents and user files is the 'Documents' folder on disk C :, Pictures and Photos go to the 'Pictures' folder, downloaded files to the 'Downloads' folder and desktop Files in the 'Desktop' folder. You should search for lost user files in these directories in the description for this article. The 'Documents' folder is actually on disk C: under the following path: C: Users username Documents 'Pictures' folder: C: Users username Pictures Files downloaded from the Internet go to This folder: C: Users username Downloads Desktop files are saved here: C: Users username Desktop • When the hard drive is scanned, use the Program to open the folder with the files you want to restore.
Lost files can also be located in the “Lost and Found” or “Content-AwareAnalysis” program folder. The 'Lost and Found' folder contains the files and folders whose location could not be determined. Check this directory if you cannot find the files in their original location.
The program not only searches for deleted files in file tables, but also based on their content. Based on a complex analysis of the disk contents, the utility finds signatures that identify the beginning and the end of a file. Files found in this way are stored in t.
The “Content-Aware Analysis” folder and sorted into folders by file type. • Drag the required files into the recovery list and click “Recover” • Select the method for saving files. I choose “Save to disk”.
I strongly recommend saving the recovered files to another hard drive or media to make sure they are not deleted. So I choose hard drive E and create a folder for the recovered files. OK. • Recovery. • Ready. • Go to the folder pointing to.
Disk E was created to see that the files were restored. Similarly, you can use Hetman Partition Recovery to recover data after the hard drive has been formatted, operating system or hard drive errors, file system damage, data from damaged or inaccessible hard drive partitions, e.g.
after emptying the Recycle Bin or accidentally deleting files. If you lost more than one system partition after resetting or reinstalling Windows, you can use this program to analyze the entire hard drive. To do this, click on the required item in the Physical Disks section and start the scan.
As a result, the program will restore the data of all lost partitions on the analyzed hard drive. We'll show it in one of our next articles. If you liked this article, click the Like button below and subscribe to our channel to see more.
If you have any questions, leave a comment to ask one. Thank you for watching and good luck!

This tutorial shows how to use the editor in Word for Microsoft 365.
Hello, my name is Erin. I am a professional copywriter who shares real-world writing tips on this channel and on my blog at erinwrightwriting.com.
Today's tutorial shows how to use the editor in Word for Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365). Editor is the new name for Word's spelling and grammar checker. If you're using an older version of Word or your spelling and grammar checker looks different from the one shown here, please check out my previous tutorial titled 'How to Use Microsoft Word 2016's Spelling and Grammar Checker' which is linked below.
This tutorial covers five topics: How to Select Grammar Problems and Refinements. How to run the editor. How to review the Editor's suggestions for corrections.
How to complete the edit. And how to do a new edit. In addition to spelling, the Editor can check for over 65 grammar problems and refinements such as hyphenation, passive voice, Oxford commas and clichés.
You should choose get out of your grammar problems and refinements before running the editor for the first time. After doing this, the software should remember your selection so that you don't have to make these selections every time you run the editor on your current document. First select the File tab in Then select the Options tab in the Backstage view.
Next, select the Correction tab in the Word Options dialog box. Note that if your Notepad window is already open, you can access the Word Options dialog box by selecting the Settings button under Select at the bottom of the window. If you want problems as you type in the text to be highlighted, ask Make sure 'Check Spelling As You Type' and 'Highlight Grammar As You Type' are selected.
Make sure to check grammar and refinements in the editor. The area is selected to include grammar and refinements. Also make sure that 'Hide misspellings in this document only' and 'Hide grammatical errors in this document only' are not selected.
On the side, always run the editor, even if you've chosen spelling and grammar r problems highlighted as you type because you may not notice all of the inline edits. Also, the editor area appears to be more thorough than the check provided as you type. Next, select Grammar and Refinements or Grammar from the Writing Style drop-down menu.
Most users want to select Grammar and Refinements as it has more options. If you want to refine your grammar and refinement options, select the Settings button. And then select or uncheck options from the Grammar Settings dialog box.
Choose the OK button to close the Grammar Settings dialog box. Followed by the OK button to close the Word Options dialog box. To run the editor, first select the Home tab on the ribbon.
Then select the Editor button. Note that the 'Editor' button is also available on the 'Review' tab. The editor will run immediately.
The 'Editor' section tells you how many potential bugs you have in each category. A green check mark indicates that there are no errors in the categoryCorrections, select the category you want to review. The options are spelling, grammar, clarity, conciseness, formality, and punctuation conventions.
Or, select Overall in the Suggestions section above to review all of the suggestions in the order they appear in your document. If you have a spelling mistake, please select a suggestion to change the individual mistake. Or, open the suggestion drop-down menu and select Change All to change each instance of the error.
You can also choose Ignore Once to ignore this spelling time, Ignore All to ignore this spelling every time it appears in the document, or Add to Dictionary to add the word with its current spelling to your custom dictionary the editor cannot provide spelling suggestions, you can still add the word to your custom dictionary, ignore the word once, or ignore all occurrences of the word. When you've made your decision, the editor will automatically move on to the next misspelling. Note that you can also use the navigation arrows at the top of the area to skip to the next error.
If you have a grammar or refinement problem that you want to change, select a suggestion from the area, or select Ignore Once to stop looking for this type of problem in the rest of the document, select the down arrow to the top of the pane for additional information on the problem. As with spelling, remember that you can also use the navigation arrows at the top of the window to skip to the next issue. The editor will automatically pause after you've accepted or ignored any suggestions.
If you have readability statistics in your correction options in the Word dialog box Options, the Readability Statistics dialog box will now appear, select the button Click OK to close the Readability Statistics dialog box. Whether or not you have chosen to include readability statistics, a dialog box will appear stating that the editor is complete, choose the OK button to close this dialog box. If you've updated your text since running the editor, you may want to do a fresh check.
First, select the File tab on the ribbon, then choose Options in Backstage view, followed by Correction in the Word Options dialog box, click Now click the Check Document Again button. A dialog box will appear saying that the new spelling and grammar checker, which is the editor, is rechecking problems that you ignored the last time you checked. Choose the Yes button.
