I absolutely love it I love all the enthusiasm and participation you showed in our everyday doodle series, you made great doodles and sent them to me. I love it Oh, by the way, if you don't know what I'm talking about then you can go straight to my Instagram page and check it out. This is my grip and while you are there please follow me.

You can also follow me on my blog channels, so I checked all the comments on the Doodle article on Youtube and Instagram and what I noticed is that many of you mentioned that you had a bit of a hard time with the Finger drawing on your phone and you want to know if there's a way to make a pen at home. Guess what? I read your comments and I guess what to do with your request. So today we're going to make a homemade pen.

So get ready it's DIY time why i love it why not? We do a stylist at home and we get better. I love it folks so let's make a pen but before we make a salad I am going to show you guys how our pen works with this ordinary pen. Okay so you can see this is a regular ordinary ballpoint pen but if that were a pen the body would be made of metal and it would have a conductive rubber or foam tip that you can draw, write on, or operate your phone on what happens , can your body save? Electric Charge Static electricity transmitted through your finger through your cell phone or tablet, now this surface is essentially sensitive to electric charge and then you can operate or write or draw on it.

The body of a pen is made of metal. You transfer that electrical charge to the metal and through that metal it goes to the conductive tip Create or create a similar setup or device that can basically take the charge from your hand to the tip. So I'm going to show you how to do that.

Now you can make a pen with a regular pen, or even a pencil, right? So I'm going to show you two different ones. So first let's do it with the pen. As you can see here, this is a regular ballpoint pen.

So let's remove the mine first because we don't need that We'll do another tip So now we only have this plastic body, now plastic is no longer a good conductor of electricity So we have to think about how we can transfer the charge for it. I'm going to use an electrical wire, this is your normal electrical wire that has a copper wire inside. So I'm going to take a small piece of this wire to cut it.

I use normal scissors. Now let's make a small cut. Make sure on this cut that you don't cut through the copper wire that we are about to cut, the top layer, which is that plastic cover and we will remove the installation.

You can see that we now have this copper wire for our pen. We only need a strand of wire so you can just pull one out now we take one end of this wire and bend it a little like this and we put it right here in this hole the tip of the pin and then take it then turn it to the other side and then put the other end on the other end of the pin and then we take that part and just lock it in place. Now you can just twist it Okay so you can see.

udf file player

With a little effort I managed to slide this in so now a copper wire is going through the pin on the outside with one end going right here into the front hole the tip of the pin is in and the other end goes to the back end right here. What you have now done is that you have made this pen conductive to the electrical charge and now the charge from your hand can transfer through this wire to the tip of the pen. Now I am using this plastic pen.

So I do this whole wire mechanism but if you manage to find a metal pen you don't have to do this all you have to do is make a tip and through that metal body it will transfer the charge from your hand to the pen, however because it's very difficult to find a metal needle I was looking I couldn't find one So I'm going to show you this alternative technique of using a plastic needle Now we need to make the tip to make the tip I'll use cotton This is just normal cotton So will I'll take a little piece, maybe smaller and we'll just roll it even smaller and now you have to take some water and just dip your finger in water and then roll that again So what we're doing here is wet the cotton a little, because water again is a good leader. If it is electrically charged, let the cotton soak up the water a little. Do not submerge this in water.

You only need to apply very little water and now we're going to slowly slide this into a needle tip and once it's in you can just use the scissors again and just cut and shape like a little tip. So now you have a smallsoftConductive tip and you can use it like a pen to operate or draw on your phone. So let's test this, so here's my phone and here's our stylist, all you need to be aware of is that you have to keep touching the wire because that's how you're sending that static electrical charge from your body to this screen that's for this electric charge is sensitive and here I am in my Instagram app and just trying to draw with it Okay, that draws really smoothly Perfect So here we made a stylus out of a ballpoint pen And now I'm going to show you how to make a stylus out of a pencil.

Let's do that, everything clear So now I'm going to show you the second way you can convert a pencil into a stylus now, obviously there's no hole at the top here so you can't put the cotton in here, you'll have to calculate another one Method, in my opinion, is that a Q-Tip or an earphone are a very good alternative. So we're going to take an earbud and crop it so you can see that I have the earbud here and a little bit of the plastic tube, maybe I should cut it a little smaller now let's take the pencil and we're going to put it in that plastic tube. For this we are going to use some tape and glue this in place Okay, nice and sturdy.

Here you go. We have now secured this in place. You can see we have a soft tip, but the pencil is made of wood which is not a good conductor.

In order to transfer this electrical charge, we now need something metallic. So you can either use wire or aluminum foil, so I have a piece of aluminum foil here. This is your normal aluminum foil that you use in your kitchen to wrap your food.

So you can just take a tiny bit of it and now we're just going to roll it over the pencil, but you need to note that the aluminum foil should be touching - but the tip of the handle is basically touching the cotton because you want the charge Transferring from your hand to the aluminum foil and from the foil to the tip of the pen It's in place. And with that, you've converted that pen into a pen. Before using it you have to do the same thing, you have to make this cotton a little more conductive and once the earbud is nice and wet your pen is good to go then all you have to do is remember that and when you hold it you should always touch the aluminum foil because that way it will Transfer the charge to it, and then from there to the cotton swab and your pen will work.

Let's try this out. So go on folks, this is a cheap and easy way to make a homemade pen. I know it's not for the best, but it's great to start with and it's so easy, you know you can do it at home and it will definitely help you, instead of using a finger now, you can Hold a pencil or a pen and have a few doodles better under control forget to give this article a big thumbs up as it shares with your friends and subscribe to my channel You know the deal well and if you follow me here, and also, follow me please subscribe to the toothere on my blog channel, that's it people.

Until then, I'll see you guys in my next article. As I always say, do good and be good. Peace you

Can you still get Microsoft Works?

Although Microsoft Works is discontinued, you can still run it on Windows 10 by setting the MSWorks.exe file to run in Compatibility Mode. Alternatively, you can convert . WPS files with dedicated Microsoft Works file converter.25 mei 2019

- Microsoft hasn't even announced Windows 11 yet, but three things say it is likely to come soon. Number one. They announced an event for June 24th where we'll see what's next for Windows.

Number two. They actually posted a retirement date for Windows 10 on their official website. And number three, I'm holding onto it.

We are going to install Windows 11 now. So excited. To tell you about our sponsor GlassWire.

Instantly see your current and past network activity with GlassWire. Detect malware and block badly behaved apps on any PC or Android device and use the offer code LINUS to get a 25% discount on GlassWire at the link below. (Happy music) Before we start, (laughs) I have to admit that this label was a lie, and the first thing we have to do is actually get the Windows 11 installer onto our USB drive.

Normally, now you would just go to the Microsoft website and use the Windows media creation tool. But since Microsoft obviously didn't intentionally distribute copies of Windows 11, we'll have to use another tool called Rufus. So let's start good old Rufus here.

And look at this, look, I'm not going to help and encourage piracy or whatever, so I'm not going to tell you where to get an ISO, but we have an ISO, there it is, let's get a bootable Windows installer I'm actually so excited right now. I haven't looked at any of the leaked screenshots or any of the rumors. So, I'll just come up with it fresh.

Now one of the big controversies surrounding Windows 11 is that there shouldn't be Windows 11, Windows 10 launched that it would be the last Windows you would ever need. Which people interpreted to mean that they would never have to pay for another Windows license and that they would only get free upgrades forever. Something like, well, nothing.

Nothing works like that, but Windows as a service should be. Oh, it looks like this is all getting kicked into your head. I wish I could find the power switch for this dyno. (Buttons ring) (indistinct) install it.

I don't have the product 'key. Obviously. Okay, well, we're going to be pro guys.

Forward. Oh no. We're going pro for workstations.

Ahh. No. No, it wasn't that easy.

We have now tried this on three different computers. RISE runs in the 3000 series, the Intel 7000 series and now the Intel 10 series, a single one that meets the minimum system requirements to install this version of Windows. If you look closely, you may have noticed that many of the Windows 11 league screenshots had weird sphere resolutions like 1600 x 1200.

And that's not a coincidence. While this would be an extremely unusual resolution for a desktop or laptop monitor, this is very common in virtual machines. That's when you're running one operating system on a different host operating system.

There are a ton of reasons to test new software by installing it on a virtual machine instead of your bare metal hardware. It can be better for security, especially if you don't trust the source of the software, it can be deleted and deleted faster restarted, and in the case of Windows 11, this may be the only way to do it. Because it seems, although we can't find confirmation online, that Microsoft found a way to lock the installer so it just doesn't install on bare hardware.

Naturally. That won't stop us from just doing it then I create a 500 gigabyte boot drive and just plug it into my boxed virtual VMs, Windows 11 point virtual hard drive, blah, blah, blah. And then I just have to change my settings so that my storage is here We go, there it is Windows 11 mounted.

Let's boot that thing up. Begin. It really is that fast (indistinct).

Windows pirated is thirsty work.lttstore.com.What? It's the perfect time to get hydrated - Yes? - Right at the start there are a lot of things that I expect to be different.

There should be a whole new visual design. And if the last Windows 10 update brings anything I'll probably be shoving a lot more content in ads down my throat. Do you see what they added to my system tray? Anyway, the point is, it's done.

Wow. That is different. Everything you might as well know where the dirty pirate is from.

Canada. Is that the right keyboard? A yah. Secondary keyboard? Nah.

Okay, that's basically the same thing but with a desktop user facelift so far, though more relevant to a device like this. You know. Should I sign in to a Microsoft account? Sign in with the security key.

Login options. Can I just, can I only have a local account? Offline account, check it out. No problem.

Limited experience. Remember what else? I sign in. I sign in.

I sign in with an account. Let's customize your experience. Oh, gaming, creativity, family.

You know what? I'd do anything. Oh, hey, there it is. Ahh.

Okay. Oh my god, that's the start menu. It's like a Mac.

Why is the first start thing gone? And why is there a separate one now Search button? The Windows button was Search. So wait, does that work, has no search? Hello? It does. It totally does.

But there is a delay in switching to this search thing. Wow, that's really sluggish. OK.

Part of the problem, however, is that we're currently running anything that would be GPU accelerated just in software. So we shouldn't be judging that, even is it an early build etc. Are you trying to right click kill? Take a look at this Brandon, right click on this works fine.

So this might just be an early craze. But the pushing up when left or right click makes sense, if you consider that this should be a complete revision of the idea of Windows and the design should be intuitive to use with keyboard, mouse, touch, stylus or whatever Case may be. File Explorer doesn't seem to have changed much.

Hello? There he is. Looks pretty much the same. However, these symbols are so different. total overhaul.

But I probably won't be spending much time on it because realistically neither you nor I will ever open it again. Hey, you can save 60% on pc games. Okay, there are still some cool things we can do but talk about it.

Okay, take a look at that ut.Widgets. Apparently they are a much more central part of the experience now.

So boom.Up comes your widgets and we can scroll down. Can we move this whole thing around? Oh.Okay.

That is. And that's the behavior I would want. Now we'll probably find out if we can actually just install stuff.

From Windows 7 to 8, 8.1 to 10, part of the idea behind it was that compatibility definitely needs to be worked on by the developer, in theory you can just install anything that is compatible with one of the others. So we're going to find out if developers need to explicitly create Windows 11 versions of their applications.

Really quick styles here. Are you still having fun? It's new Windows. - Yes? - You'll use it.

Like it or not. Unless you're ready for Linux- Impending doom. - Because you don't need a creative cloud.

Oh, I think there's always macOS. Okay. The same kind of Here are a few other cool things.

Apparently there is better voice input, although we don't currently have a microphone plugged into it. You have a better experience with camera management. But we don't have a camera plugged into it right now.

And that's really cool, on a per display basis, you can have multiple virtual desktops to switch between. I don't know how to do that yet. Oh, let's go We can create a new desktop.Boom.

So they only have the Tasks view down here in the Start menu. I guess not your taskbar. Can I still call it the taskbar? It's probably still a task bar.

Another cool thing, apparently, is when When you unplug and reconnect monitors, it should be a lot smarter to get all of the same things back where they should be. OK. And then we can go to Boom, there we can start.

So we have desktop one that we can preview. That's pretty nice. Desktop two.

I forgot the shortcut for it. What's this? Yes, Windows tab. And you're just using your wait, why does the middle click no longer open a new instance of an application? Ooh That will bother me.

So what if I have multiple instances of something open? What happens then? So I hover over it with my mouse and it gives me the options. Yep. It looks like a mobile app.

error code 8024401c

That's cool. Oh right, we've never talked about the keyboard before. OK.

This is (keyboard click) awful. (Keyboard click) The first keystrokes that I insert are regularly missing. Board. Is all I have from the keyboard. (Keyboard click) It is just too slow to switch to the special search from the start menu.

Shoot. I found it. It is a personalization setting whether the touch keyboard keys should be displayed.

So I don't see an obvious way to display it. And that's fine anyway, because our top priority (claps) is figuring out if we can play on it.When we're working on a device that you know has trouble dragging a window around, we're going to be having a pretty bad time to have.

But that's okay because we have some other ideas. (laughs) It takes a really great test bench to build the one we ran. Before that, it looks like a toy.

But that's it, ladies and gentlemen. So we have a copy of Unraid on that USB drive over here. We'll be handing our keyboard and mouse over to our virtual machine, a huge scream by the way! NVIDIA's 20 series for a built-in USB port, so we plugged our Steam drive directly into our GPU so we'll loop through our Windows 11 VM and hopefully run games at native speed.

Ooh. Ooh. And folks the craziest part of it of, is this just the bogstandardestOS installation process? s on, Unraid.

If you can install Windows 10 on Unraid, you can install Windows 11 on Unraid. And (keyboard click) I'm waiting, how can I even access the device man-okay, I have to go here. Device Manager.

My muscle Memory is very strong. RTX 2080 TI the driver was just installed (snap fingers) - I even activated Windows - You activated Windows? - Yes - Oh wait. I want the, I want to see the on-screen keyboard.

The other. Touch the keyboard button. Let's go.

Show the touch keyboard button. OK. I want to see this thing because apparently it has been changed.

So there are emojis and gifs powered by Tenor. Oh, that means there should be a lot of Linus gifs with technical tips, what is it, that's my take on it, keyboard layout, little split default, nice. We have a nice little split keyboard there.

Okay, cool. More settings? Apparently there are like colors and such? Keyboard layout. OK.

Fine. Fine. Good enough.

Enough. Games. That feels damn good. - Have you set a high refresh rate? - No, I haven't, that's still 60 Hertz.

But how about responsiveness? - Is it in full screen mode? - It is good. Ah, view the display settings. Can we just like, will everything just work? 120 Hertzand (lip smacking) wonderful.

It just works the way it is. Okay. So what I wanted to know was if I was pressing Windows and then looking for it.

Yeah.It is super responsive. It switches over immediately.

I think that's just because we were running in a virtual box. This is a much rougher experience. So we're running at.

Oh, you can no longer right click to go to Task Manager? Click the Windows Button - Right click the Windows Button. Ah, that's more work. Okay.

The point is we run 10 cores on a RISE 9 3900x, we have an RTX 2080 TI, we have 20 gigs of RAM. That's pretty close to what it's supposed to feel like. Oh yeah, let's try the new.

Oh, interesting. That's kind of cute - looks nicer - yes. It looks nicer.

Oh, that didn't look so nice. That's kind of wanko - it's not even a beta version - yeah, I know, I know. This isn't even a developer preview.

This is literally a leaked build of the operating system. re going to runRed Dead Redemption 2. It's like Runs.- Kind of surprised how easily it loads.- Yes.

I was expecting there was going to be some kind of argument with this, you know, to get this to work. But otherwise it just won't be installed on bare metal. It's only possible (table hammering).

I mean, check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 ladies and gentlemen. I have to catch up with Dutch here. Keep my lantern here.

OK. Old paint, go. It's crazy too.

That only the latest NVIDIA (snap fingers) drivers are installed. And just like Vert IO and all that crap. Just - yes, it just went on. - Wow.

However, one of the things that could tell us is that under the hood this update might not be that big and you know maybe Windows 11 isn't because they couldn't turn Windows 10 into that experience that it was more of a business decision .- No, to be honest, a lot of things that worked on Windows 7 worked on Windows 10.- Yes.

This is fair. So, I guess there's not much else to say at this point, other than very weird, but very cool. To be clear, I'm not saying you should install this on your own hardware, on your own network, because you don't know where this ISO came from and what's in it.

But I'm really glad I tried it. And I hope you enjoyed riding. Just like you enjoy riding for our sponsor Manscaped.

Father's Day is just around the corner so you need to hurry to find the perfect gift for your father before it's too late. And maybe you're the kind of family that can give your dad personalized Father's Day toiletries, but I'm not going to judge, Manscaped got you covered with his Lawnmower 4.0.

What was the last version of Microsoft Works?

Microsoft Works is a discontinued office suite from Microsoft. Works is smaller, less expensive, and has fewer features than Microsoft Office or other large office suites. The core functions include a word processor, spreadsheet, and database management system.

Later versions have a calendar application and dictionary, while older versions included a terminal emulator. Works was available as a standalone program and as part of a home productivity suite of the same name. Because of its low cost, companies have often preinstalled Works on their consumer computers.

History Microsoft Works originated as MouseWorks, an integrated spreadsheet, word processor, and database program developed for the Macintosh by former Apple employees Don Williams and Rupert Lissner. Williams planned to mimic the success of AppleWorks, a similar product for Apple II computers. His Head of Acquisitions, Alan M.

Boyd, convinced Williams to license the product to Microsoft instead to be a stripped-down version of Office for small laptops, such as the Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 100 that Microsoft developed. As laptops grew in performance, Microsoft Works, as it was to be called, became a popular product. On September 14, 1987, Microsoft introduced Works for DOS.

Up to version 4.5a, Works used a monolithic program architecture in which the Works WordProcessor and the spreadsheet / database documents were executed in windows of the same program interface. Low memory and hard disk requirements, which makes it possible on slower computers with requirements of only 6MB of RAM and 12MB free disk space could be executed.

Works 2000 switched to a modular architecture that opened each document as a separate instance and used the print engine from the Internet Explorer. Version 9.0, the final version, came in two editions: an ad-free version that is available in retail stores and for OEMs, and an ad-supported free version that was only available to OEMs to pre-install on new computers.

In late 2009, Microsoft announced that Works would be discontinued and replaced by Office 2010 StarterEdition. Features Microsoft Works has built-in compatibility for the Microsoft Office document formats, including, but not limited to, the Works word processor's ability to open Microsoft Word documents and the WorksSpreadsheet's ability to open Microsoft Excel workbooks. Newer versions contain roles but not significantly updated functionality.

Even in the latest version, the Windows 95 era icons and toolbars have not been updated to be consistent with modern application software. While the usefulness for larger businesses is limited by the use of proprietary native .WKS, .WDB, and .WPS file formats, it remains an option for some small and too small owners due to the simplicity and ease of incorporating database / tabular data into word processing documents Home based business.

In this context, version 4.5a deserves special mention. The database management system, which is a 'flat file', ie non-relational, enables the novice to perform complex transformations through formulas and custom reports that can be copied to the clipboard as text.

A 'Works Portfolio' utility provides Microsoft Binder-like functionality. Installation The 2007 Office System Compatibility Pack, Works Word Processor, and Spreadsheet can import and export Office Open XML document formats even though they are converted and not processed natively. The Works Calendar can save appointments, integrates itself into the Windows address book and Address Book successors, Windows Contacts, and can remind users of birthdays and anniversaries.

It supports importing and exporting iCalendar files. However, it does not support subscribing to iCalendar files or publishing iCalendar files online via WebDAV and contacts from Windows Address Book could be synchronized with portable devices. In Works 9.0, the oved synchronization feature was removed.

File Format Compatibility Microsoft makes file format converter filters for Microsoft Word to open and save in the Works word processing format. Microsoft Office Excel can import newer Works spreadsheets because the newer Works spreadsheets also use the Excel format, however with another enhancement. There is an import different filter for older Works 2.0 spreadsheet format; However, it may be disabled in the registry by newer Microsoft Office service packs.

As far as Works Spreadsheet 3.x2000 and Works database files are concerned, Microsoft does not provide an import filter for Excel or Access. There are third party converters available to convert these types of files to Excel spreadsheets: There is also a Donateware utility for database files; a commercial solution is available for spreadsheet and database files.

A common C ++ library, libwps, can extract text from many different versions of MicrosoftWorks. OpenOffice.org variants such as Go-oo, LibreOffice, NeoOffice, and OxygenOffice are included with command line converters The commercially available solution for converting to and from Microsoft Works files on the Macintosh platform is DataViz's MacLinkPlus.

Because the programs within the Works Suite were developed separately and sold individually, each had a unique look and feel. They were integrated through a task level that selected the appropriate program for the user to perform each task. In addition to the core programs, each version of Works Suite is also o included programs such as FoneSync in 2001 and PowerPoint Viewer from 2005.

Later versions of the Works Suite prompted users to upgrade to more features of their inclusions at a discounted rate. In addition to retail sales, Works Suite was on the purchase of a new PC from several PC manufacturers, most notably Dell and Gateway. Works Suite was discontinued after the 2006 release.

Works was later bundled with Word as Works Plus 2008 but made available only to OEMs. Comparison of Bundled Works Suites for Home Productivity: See Also List of Applications That Support iCalendarReferencesExternal Links
