Hi, this is Phil from Make Tech Easier, and welcome to 6 Ways To Use Microsoft Office For Free.

Numbers don't lie. Microsoft Office has over 1.2 billion users from 140 countries around the world who speak 107 languages.

Of these users, 400 million use Windows 10. It stands to reason that a significant percentage of these users would prefer to use MicrosoftOffice for free. If you are one, you don't feel alone.

Even Microsoft created many loopholes to help you achieve this goal. Let's look at all six ways you can get started with Microsoft Office for free. Free OfficeOnline.

If you have a Microsoft account (it's easy and free to create one) you can access all popular Office programs for free. Your account gives you free access to Word, Calendar, PowerPoint, OneNote, Excel, and others. In the description below you will find a link to register.

In addition to Microsoft's free Office Online apps, your account gives you access to niche apps; You can upload and share documents through Docs.com, use Contacts to save contacts and even access them through Skype and create interactive reports or presentations on Sway. Although you have access to OneDrive for cloud storage, it is limited.

Full access is only granted with a subscription. Your account allows you to download and use Office apps on mobile platforms such as iOS and Android. Office online is free but limited.

You can only use basic functions. If you want to do more than just write letters and assignments, Office Online is not for you. Advanced functions such as in Office 365 are not accessible to users.

Second, Office Online only works online; no internet connection means no access to your work. These restrictions are lifted in the free options, as we'll discuss shortly. Microsoft Office for mobile devices.

Office is not preinstalled on desktop computers, but certain mobile devices are bundled with Office applications for mobile devices. Microsoft offers free download options on its website if your mobile devices did not come with preinstalled bundles. Office Mobile is compatible with convertibles such as the AsusTransformer Book T100 and Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 10.

You can download these from the link below. Free office for students, faculty and staff. Microsoft offers Office 365 free to qualified students and educational institutions.

Your schools must be signed in for you to access it. (Bottom left) Microsoft is extending the offer to all students, but an administrator can enroll you directly if your school is not already enrolled in this program. The main differences to an Office 365 trial version are class management with the class notebook, options for intranet customization, unlimited meetings (online).

Office 365 free trial for 30 days. Office 365 is free for 30 days. You can download it from the link below.

Remember, if you see promotional offers like 'Try Office 365 Personal for free', it's the same product. The trial version can be used on five laptops or desktops at the same time. Each user receives 1 TB of cloud storage on OneDrive as part of the trial version.

This option has two disadvantages. You only get 30 days free, which makes this option unsuitable for long-term use, and Microsoft will collect your credit card information before giving you access to download the software. Microsoft evaluations for Office apps.

You can participate in Microsoft's evaluation program. (Link at the bottom of the description.) The program enables you to try out some Office apps within a defined period of time.

These programs stop after the evaluation time has elapsed. Some of the products you will try include Test Office 365 ProPlus for 30 days, 2016 version of ProjectProfessional for 60 days, and 2016 version of Visio Professional for 60 days. Preview of future Office and other Microsoft products.

Microsoft carries out public previews with its products. They are currently doing this with StaffHub, a new Office app that helps remote workers organize their work, and will likely do so with their next Office upgrade. Conclusion.

You probably don't need most of the features of a full office suite, so Office Mobile or Free Office Online in general should cover most of your needs. If you ever need more than the basics, sign up for trials or take advantage of the other options. You qualify for a free full suite of Office 365 if you are a student, lecturer, or university employee.

So ask if your school is enrolled or speak to an administrator. Okay as always, thanks for watching and please subscribe and add your comments below. Until next time!

How long is Microsoft free trial?

Windows: Microsoft offers free 30-day trials of Office 365 and Office 2013. After your free month is over, you won't be able to use some major features of these office suites. One little-known secret, however, is you can actually extend your trial five times, for total of 180 days of use.

- Yes! Here we go! - Windows 11 is no ordinary update, but if you go through Microsoft's somber, flawed announcement training, you will never know.

Because of this, much of what we're going to talk about was actually pulled from the fine print of Microsoft's website and from our own firsthand experience with last week's leaked build. The good news is that there is a lot to talk about. The bad news is that not all news is good news from our sponsor GlassWire.

(Upbeat music) At first glance, Windows 11 is little more than a major user interface redesign in addition to what is basically Windows 10.

But on closer inspection, more is happening under the hood than we believe it to be. In particular, improved support for hybrid architecture processors with a mix of performance and energy savings CENTRAL PROCESSOR cores, like Intel's Lakefield. This is going to be a big deal in a very short time. ♪ Big ♪ - Sorry for that.

The most obvious improvement, of course, is the new visual design. It's a frosted glass aesthetic with multiple thematic styles, rounded corners on windows and a center-aligned taskbar, an optimization that Microsoft made clear was intended for touch users, we incorporated Bing search as usual. But hey, now your recent documents will be synced across devices if you are using Office 365.

So that's pretty cool. There are of course more useful changes. Snap layouts allow you to quickly and easily tile windows in different window orientations, much like how the FancyZones PowerToy works today, except that it is far more user-friendly and less configurable.

Microsoft says no one else will allow you to do that with so many windows - no one else will let you do this - and that ended up being one of the biggest revelations of the presentation. Linux apparently hasn't been renamed to anyone else, unfortunately, but you bring here something new on the table. This way, Windows groups are grouped in the system tray and treated like a single item.

So, you can switch to and from a window layout in no time and your multiple virtual desktops can now be customized with different wallpapers to suit to facilitate the overview. It's like customizing your water bottle with the stickers that you get for free when you order from LTTstore. com, and they finally fixed the issue of windows rearranging themselves semi-randomly when monitors are disconnected and reconnected.

Instead, windows that were when removed are minimized for display, and then when reconnected they all reset a laptop, although I'm not sure what happens if you disconnect the display, then interact with those programs, and then do it again connect. I think we'll see more for all-in-ones and touch displays in general. Touch targets are now bigger with more visual feedback, and there's a new on-screen keyboard that we haven't been able to properly test yet that looks a lot like the iOS keyboard, right down to the ability to move the cursor by pressing the spacebar holds.

But that's all boring productivity stuff. What about games? Well, after debuting on Xbox Series X, Auto HDR is coming to Windows and direct memory support is built into the OS and driver level in Windows 11, which will bring Windows closer to Xbox from a feature standpoint, and I'm personally very excited to see both in action. I mean, given Windows Teams' historically horrific HDR implementation, I'm hesitantly optimistic about auto-converting older, non-HDR games to HDR.

But direct storage, which allows your GPU to directly access your system game drive, or really any other drive, should greatly improve game load times once it is supported. Examining these features will produce some really interesting articles, as well You should make sure you are subscribed. The Xbox Game Pass is now built into the Xbox app that comes with Windows Tradition, although we have no idea how many titles it will support, whether it will be difficult to support, whether or not it's a system-wide thing or not what, it feels like the light is finally visible at the end of this tunnel.

The pen input additions look pretty cute, and Microsoft added haptic feedback to simulate the feel of various tools as you use them, saying that because they only briefly showed it. The same goes for screen rotation, which is now much more streamlined as the windows rotate smoothly with the display and tiled windows are stacked on top of each other in landscape mode rather than unpredictably like they used to be. Speaking of unpredictable, Teams is now built right into Windows.

I can't say I predicted that. When did everyone start using Teams? No. It is the children who are wrong.

There's now a special icon for Teams that gives you a searchable jump list with recent contacts and buttons to interact with, and I'm just not sure this is what someone was asking for. But hey, at least Microsoft built in something like I-Message and FaceTime. So that's cool I think.

There was also a brief mention about dictation and voice commands. So, presumably this is also an upgrade to compete with Siri on Mac OS. Ah, Mac OS, they made a big deal about how teams work on every platform, and it wasn't the only thing that felt like an unnecessary dig at Apple.

Even the FAQ page on their website has things like that instead of really useful information. Folks, Microsoft, we want to know how much it's going to cost on its own. Obviously, computers cost anywhere from here to here, but I think we'll know soon enough when it shows up in the Windows Store.

Ah yes, the Windows Store. Now with the ability to view movies, TV shows and other content regardless of the streaming service and integration with the Amazon App Store. Yes, my friends, you can now run Android apps right in Windows.

It's not known yet if you can sideload or get stuck on the Amazon store, but that's still really cool, and we assume that if enough people are running Android apps on Windows, developers will finally buy Microsoft's pitch over it how it's super easy to natively port your apps to the Windows Store and enjoy Microsoft's industry. leading Rev-Shareand support for external payment processors, finger guns. And then I think the ultimate goal would be to destroy the current ghost town atmosphere of the window store.

Speaking of the dead but now brought back to life, the new widgets panel is nothing like gadgets in Vista; Microsoft describes it as a beautiful sheet of glass powered by AI. In fact, they're pretty much the messages and interests window Microsoft added to Windows 10 in the 21H1 update, but with some extra features and the AI, well, it's messages tailored to your interests, ha ha. They can be opened or closed by swiping in from the left edge of the screen on a touchscreen or by clicking the icon in the system tray.

The biggest question is the price and availability. Not much was talked about in the presentation, but from the FAQ we rounded up that it will be a free update for Windows 10 users and will ship to new PCs in late 2021 with standalone copies available in early 2022. As for the prices, I would say it will be a Hundo for home and Hundo plus for professionals Then upgrade for free.

Another thing Microsoft didn't tell us and bury us in the FAQ is system requirements. As we saw earlier, Windows 11 requires a secure boot and TPM 2.0 to function as a security measure.

This will undoubtedly create the greatest confusion for end users at this launch. And Microsoft is making their own lives harder for no apparent reason because instead of just telling you when you install it, hey, you need that trusted platform module chip and safe boot in your UEFI files, Microsoft is just giving you this ambiguous error, which says that your system is incompatible. Why? Windows 11 also requires two or more CPU cores, four GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, and a DirectX 12 compatible GPU.

asphalt 8 crashes

You don't have all that stuff? I don't know, buy a new PC, I think Microsoft says. What is even more disturbing, however, is this notice that Windows 11 Home Edition requires an internet connection and a Microsoft account to complete the initial setup. And that's weird, you actually get fewer features for using a Microsoft account.

Desktop background is no longer syncing between devices with your Microsoft account, although personally I found this feature just kind of annoying. And the timeline feature has been removed. There's more.

The taskbar is now locked at the bottom of the screen onger supports folders or groups. Live tiles are gone. The menu itself cannot be resized.

And the tablet mode is gone and will be replaced by the new touch inputs. Not all of the changes we had to dig for, however, are bad. Luckily, Cortana won't do it.

Errors during initial setup, nor take up unnecessary space in the taskbar. So it's just baffling that this stuff wasn't brought up during the event as a lot of it seems pretty important to me - the Windows 11 leak occurred today ahead of the big reveal. Some have speculated that it was on purpose, but what we know for sure is that it was a much older build than what they just showed, and there is no immediate pressure on you to upgrade in 2025 Retirement date, sets the useful life of Windows 10 to just over 10 years.

That's only a few months less than Windows 7. Was it a good operating system? Ah, I don't know if it's as fondly remembered as Windows 7. but it was definitely better than the chaos, that was Windows 8.

So we hope that Microsoft will finally succeed in the good-bad-good-bad -Breaking patterns and maintaining that positive momentum when Windows 11 finally hits our PCs so I can continue doing sponsorships like Micro Center.
