How do I restore steam exe?

Is there any way to get it back? Find steam in your Add/Remove Programs (or 'Programs and Features') control panel. There should be a repair option. If you also deleted your steamapps subfolder you will have to download your games again.

Hello everybody. Welcome back to another tutorial, article, dusty here from think tutorial.com.

And in today's article, I'll show you how to reset a game or delete a game on Steam. So you can either restart it or re-save it or whatever. Before we dive into that, there are a few things to keep in mind, I'm going to show you two different ways, but first of all there are certain games that just don't work the game that is a game as a service like you see here, Path of Exile or an MMO or a game that is updated and pretty much everything is processed on the game servers.

You won't be able to delete game data from your computer because it's all in the cloud. Anyway, usually if you have a single player game or a regular game on Steam, you can. The first thing to do in Steam is to open Steam, log into your account and then go to Steam, you are in the left corner and go to Settings.

So go to your Steam Settings and then navigate to the cloud. So select Cloud here and then uncheck the box here where it says Enable Steamcloud syncing for apps that now support it. Um, if this is enabled this won't work.

Once this is done, uncheck this box. Go ahead and click. OK.

The next thing you want to do is right. Click the game that you want to reset or delete. Okay, and I'll make Celeste.

So I go ahead and right click here and then go to properties. Now, under the properties here, you will see a few different things. Go to local files.

That'll be the middle option here, Local Files, and then go to Browse. This will allow you to browse the local files on your computer. Since we can see all relevant files for this game, these are available to us.

Now what you want to do is find the folder or file that has something to do with saving. As you can see here, it is called stores. If we double-click there, you can see if you have any saves related to that game.

They are displayed here. So you select them all here and then just delete them. Click on Delete.

For certain games there is now a file in this folder, the original folder for the game you just accessed via the browse function, it will be called Save Dot Any, Save S a VE Dot INI, or even some of those I've seen , are also S a VE dot a NY. Uh, not all games are created equal in that regard. So you may have to tinker with it to make it work.

Um, but that's the first method to find either the save folder or the save point of a file in that particular game. As you can see here, select these files and then right-click. Click on it and delete it or drag it to the trash.

It does not matter. Next we jump to the browser and go to the steam page in the browser. As you can see I'm at shop dot steam, power.com.

So I'm actually on the website. Now I haven't even signed into my account. It really isn't necessary.

And then this is where you want to look for the game that you want to delete or you want to reset it to Steam. As you can see, I was looking for it here in the Steam search bar. And with that drop-down menu, you won't be able to do it through the browse feature.

For some reason this has to be done through the browse function. Go ahead and select the game you want to delete. And once you're up here in the browser's url bar, you'll see the url and then a number.

Right here you see app slash four one three one five zero. We would now like to jump to our Windows files. So go to your browser here, go to where your Steam folder is.

So for me it's on my PC, it's in my C drive and then go to Program Files and then to Steam User ID, click on it to open the games listed above numbers. And as you can see, all of the games that I have installed on my Steam account on this PC have their ID numbers here. And one actually matches up here.

Four one three one five zero. This is Stardew Valley. If I select that folder there you will see all the files that are in that folder here, delete them.

So all files that are under user data, delete the number here all. So select all of these files right? Click Delete and drag it to the trash. And that will reset that too.

I hope that was helpful. Again, certain games that just can't be used to do this, if you have any questions or problems with doing so please post them in the comments section below. Maybe you can help others who are having the same problem as you are, but thank you for watching this article.

Don't forget to share and subscribe, this will help you out. And, uh, see you in the next article.
