Hey guys, welcome to my new tutorial series on Microsoft Office 2013 or also known as Office 15 Microsoft released this consumer preview today and in this first article I'm just going to show you how to install it and get it working. You need to navigate to the Office customer preview page and I'll post this link in the description below. Now this new Office 15 only works on Windows 7 and Windows 8 so if you're running XP or Vista it won't work for you so the first thing we're going to do is click Register and now this screen will show you all the benefits of the New customer preview that you can install on five different PCs and access all your stored files in the cloud with Microsoft SkyDrive and it will install Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excellook 1 without access and Publisher 2013 and now as you can see here below if you click try on now it will take you to the login page i believe where you need to enter all of your information so i will do that now and when you have entered all of your information click sign in and now it will take you to a page and show you how many PCs you currently have this program installed in my case I already have it on one of my P Cs installed so I only have four installs available and next we're just going to click to install and now our UAC will pop up and ask if you want to install it, just click yes and we can minimize ours now Browser and now Office is starting to configure the download so we might just have to wait a few minutes when the full version comes out, you can still buy office2013 as traditional software that you would pay in advance, but you can also buy offices as a subscription via Office 365 and you get the complete desktop and metro applications, not just the Office Web Apps plus Office for Mac and for all other devices for which Office applications like one are available for the iPhone iPad or Android and there will be four different plans will be available and right now they are all flagged as previews, but that will work out expected to change when the official release comes out and there is no sign of an office starter that one might expect to have, but it will be replaced by the free Office Web Apps and as expected, Office 2013 will be like said only runs on Windows 7 and 8, not on XP or Vista, so in Office 365 Home Premium, which is the consumer version, you get WordPowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote Access and Publisher and can install.
With up to five PCs, you also get 20 Gigabytes of additional space on SkyDrive to store documents from these applications and in the next version of Office 365 it will be the premium version for small business and that will give you the same applications but with an Office 365 account instead of SkyDrive you get exchangedemail SharePoint SharePoint document management and Lync article conference office 365 ProPlus at InfoPath and Lyncoffice 365 Ente rprise has the same apps as Pro Plus, but the Office365 apps you get are the Enterprise plan which includes the full version of Exchange including email archiving. With all of these versions, you don't have to worry about downloading and saving a large installer for Office, whether you start downloading from the Office 365 site or trying to open an Office document on a PC that is running No Office installed, applications are just minutes after you've downloaded them. This is a good thing when you don't want a big installer on your computer and what they contain and it may take me a while to connect to my account as you can see it here so we'll have to wait for it in Okay, and once it's linked to my account we hit Next and you just can't select anything if you want and you would click Accept We are essentially going to explain to you some of the new features in the new Office 15 and we just can wait for this to be done and then once this splash screen is done it will pop up and ask if you want to sign in and when you sign in it will be you I will be able to access all of your documents through SkyDrive Me just going to click don't, maybe later, and now it will come to a screen and basically just tell you how SkyDrive works and what it does, and it's going to stand upright now, now it's going to install microsoft word or sorry, right now it's installing microsoft office and they just pretty much tell you about some of the new features and you can take a look at them so now microsoft office just wraps its installation and we can wait a few minutes to test it here to finish now, once the closing process is complete just click everything done and if you are using Windows 7 just navigate to your start menu and click all programs and you'll find Office 2013 just like any regular program and if you're using Windows 8 you'll want to go back to your Metro UI and either add each of the different programs to your Metro UI, or you'll have to click the Windows button and W and search for each of Search for the Office programs or you can click here on Apps and find them in the App-L Good folks, if you like this article, please comment or subscribe and keep an eye out for the next article in this series it should come up either tomorrow or the day after and as always I'll talk to you later and have a nice day you guys
Can I reinstall Office 2013 on the same PC?
'A perpetual license of Office 2013 can only be installed on one personal computer. This means that the customer can only install it on one device, either a desktop or laptop, but not both. If the customer has a system crash, they are allowed to reinstall Office on that same computer.
Hi, I'm Darryl Webster, a cloud smith for smart things that Cody did, and today we're going to look at how to install Office 2013 with one click from a USB storage device or thumb drive. The first thing you need to do is Download ODT, the Office Deployment Tool, and unzip it on your USB stick. You need to configure the XML file to be able to download it and not use a source path, and two other steps you need to download the source files yourself and install from USB stick just to demonstrate the USB stick if you can Download the ODT tool where you save it on the key itself When you run the first few commands after configuring the XML file, download the source files to the USB stick and you will run this separate command from the command prompt installs the build of Office either on the same computer that you have the USB key on, or when you plug it into one or two computers. If you have more than two or three computers in your office, you better only have one on those computers Install and set up a network share and use this deployment method.
This is really just an ad hoc method that you may be able to use on the fly. You may have problems with the network network sharing method so you can download the ODT tool from the download center, that is the link there and that will also be referenced on the blog once you have done this and extracted it to the USB stick that i have plugged in my usb key and it's an F drive and i keep all the MyOffice deployment tools and builds in this directory just a tip of windows 8 if you want to go to the next step and launch a command prompt directly from this location, can you do this from there Drag that over there, okay so we? I am in the right place now to start the ODT. We're going to run the command to download the software and I'm not going to make you watch the full-length download go through and i install and re-download the latest build, I only highlight it at a gig so it varies based on internet bandwidth .
We'll just pause on this recording and come back for a moment to see it while it is downloading, as opposed to the network configuration files in this file, the main difference is that the source path is missing so they are usually a part of the source path here that you are Run ODT tool and that's perfect for using a pen drive scenario minutes later the Office Deployment Tool has finished downloading the Office 2013 birds and now they are on the pen drive and directory structure with the build number Install them from the USB sticks so we downloaded the big configuration the XML file we downloaded the build file Now let's go back type this command now and run this command I already have Office 2013 installed on this desktop, so I'll cut it short. This will download something. It will be installed from the USB stick as soon as the installation window pops up I have to drag it over here, we're getting things ready so you can do that from a USB stick, once there is a cancel button I'll do that, so install You in Office 2013 with the Office Deployment Tool and click to start from a USB stick Very easy, never start thanks for watching

I'm recording this article to try to give customers information about what to do with a memory dump before submitting it to Microsoft. Some memory dumps do not contain information that is relevant to help like us off the problem some thumps are caused by hardware problems.
For example, this is a list of memory dumps that usually don't prove we're telling Microsoft because they offer little or no value. It is the fatal I / O error that we are reading from the swap file, the system cannot continue because it cannot get the data it needs from memory, so with blue screens 7 it basically stops the same thing a stop 124 made by a hardware can be caused when the hardware interrupts a system and says that a fatal internal error has occurred and the system is in danger and cannot proceed with a stop 9c which is another error caused by the hardware and the stop 7band really needs to be fixed Uble Shot because dumps are really worthless for this type of problem, that's if you can take one so how do you know which blue screen it is, what blue screens may be relevant irrelevant what you can do is to open the dump yourself and I could give you some pointers on how? to do that, how to get the values and see what the blue screens are first you will need to install the debugging tools. The bucking tools will be up here on the microsoft website once you start installing from the website You invoke them with this message displayed with this box and what you do is check the Debug Tools for Windows and then click Install.
That will proceed with the installation of the debug tools on your system. So how do you know what the errorcheck values are in the event log and how you do this? To get the values, look at your van log when you find the stop events. The other way is to open the dump file and see what commands you can use p bugcheck and there tha just to get the help file so you can look up the code in the error checking help How do you do that? I'm going to show you how to open the dump file after you get to the installs of the purchase tools and the commands you can enter to see what error check you received and whether it is worth sending the dump to Microsoft Hello , I opened a memory dump for them to look at, you can do this to see if it is worth sending the memory dump to Microsoft on windbg go to fileopen Crash Dump which brings up a file box and you can go search.
Go to the directory where the memory dump is located and select it and the debugger will open it. I've already done this because this process takes some time once you open it up on the dump, there are a couple of things you can do. One of them you can do is you type a couple of commands, the first thing you need to do is type in SCIM-Fix x which return many and which will automatically set up your symbols on the internet and point the debugger to the system symbol server the Microsoft Simple Server, and you can get the debug dumpone command Another command you can type is bug point error-checking and what it does is show the code and values and you could now run the command you run on the files can dot hh now go to help and you can look up the error checking code go to index give errors and in there they are and you can look up the code yourself and see if i look at the values and code, this is a 7a and see whether it is worth Microsoft to do this manually or there is a command called Analyze dashV that will show up in a debugger if you click on it it will display this information a and let you know what the blue screen is.
It tells you that this Acolonel data could not be read, caused by a bad block and a paging file, so this alludes to your Astellation that this is a hardware problem due to a hard drive failure and it shows the error code, which is the second value here and it tells you that the I / O device you pointed to an I / O error even has the module name that it is a hard drive problem it gives you information about it based on the Triage aside what if these dumpis should be sent to Microsoft as this is a hardware issue. There's really really nothing Microsoft can do, so you can go to the event log and check for other disk errors, check and look at the disk subsystem to see what the problem is so that this can be done to resolve the Use debugger to do your own triage of stops d1a50s Now some of these modules are not microsoft drivers. So you can take a look for yourself and make a decision.
You can see which driver it is. This is a stop day and you can click Analyze it or look it up in a help file and it will give you information about the error It tells you the picture is my fault Thoughts that you can type in click the picture You can do more learn about the picture that is shown here below and you can see that the company name iscysts internals, so this is a program that is used to blue screen the machine to a third party you can use to do your own triage, because what happens and a lot of these dumps are that we get them and we really can't determine the problem because the module is false not a microsoft module stack trace this is a call stack and what happens this is the function names and have called this function on my error and my errors access the bad address and have triggered a page fault and in tu rn the bugcheck ver so this is something you can really see because right here is the IP of the instruction pointer, the simplest symbolic instruction point just before the page fault is the address of the instruction that caused the crash, this is something this is a way to dump the memory inside your computer and do a quick triage to see if it's worth sending it to Microsoft. If you get a memory dump, you can use that and do quick triage.
