Today's tutorial shows how to restrict style changes in Microsoft Word. We'll go through the steps to restrict certain changes and all changes. In Word, styles include, but are not limited to, fonts, font sizes and colors, italic, bold, underline, line spacing, and margin widths.

Please note that this tutorial is intended for general knowledge only. Microsoft Word safeguards presented here should be used I will not rely on protecting sensitive or classified documents. I will also be using Microsoft Word 2016.

However, the steps are similar for Word 2013 and Word 2010. To activate the style restrictions, select the File tab. Then select Protect Document in the Backstage view.

From there, select Restrict Editing from the drop-down menu. Next, activate the option 'Restrict formatting to a selection of styles' in the Restrict Editing task area. Now select the Settings link.

In the 'Formatting Restrictions' dialog box, activate 'Restrict formatting to a selection of styles'. Now activate or deactivate the individual styles that you want to allow in the document. Or select one of the preset radio buttons.

All checks all style options currently allowed in the document. Minimum Recommended Checks common style options currently allowed in the document, but disables less common styles such as table and list formatting. None disables all style options.

Select this option if you want to prevent other word users from making changes to the style, or turn it off the three optional formatting options. Allow AutoFormat to override formatting restrictions makes AutoFormat override the options selected in the Formatting Restrictions dialog box. If you are using AutoFormat, which is not a common practice, be sure to turn this option off. 'Block Design or Scheme Block Toggle' prevents other users from changing the document to a different subject on the 'Design' tab or to a separate scheme such as a color scheme, which is not common.

Block Quick Style Set Switching prevents other users from using the style options on the Home tab. When you're done, choose the OK button. A dialog box will appear asking if you want to remove existing styles that are not allowed by the restrictions in the Set Formatting Restrictions dialog box; select No if you want to keep all of your existing styles and prevent other users from using them Next, select the Yes button, start Enforcing Protection.

In the Enforcing Protection dialog box, enter a password. And then select OK. Word allows you to enable your no-password restrictions by clicking in the Enforcing Protection dialog box start 'select the OK option.

Without a password, however, other users can simply turn off the restrictions themselves in the Editing Restrict. And select the Exit Protection button. Enter your password in the Undo Document dialog box and select the OK button.

Note that this process changes the style not deactivated. Restrictions on password-protected copies of this file you've shared with other users, so you'll need to share your password with them, if you want them to be able to turn off protection in Word too, please see my previous tutorial titled 'How to Restrict editing in Microsoft Word '. This article examines five common problems when working with tables at work and examines ways to most effectively solve these problems. The first paper where you can see the spreadsheet spreading beyond the edge of the page for some reason and usually stopping when we can impose a tabor out of an hour Office applications like Excel or PowerPoint are usually a force to be reckoned with trying to drive the sell boorda to fix it but it will take a long time and even then it will still managua probably a better solution is to click on the entire taiba actually you know you can do it anyway and China Taiba go to the table layout, go to AutoFit and choose Auto fit to window window here means margin, so what will automatically readjust the table to fit the approach well, imagine, and now is the first problem in the second example solved nothing wrong with it if it doesn't look nice, but usually the first line has very little text but takes up too much space where e In a second line because there is a lot of text and not enough space, we would like the table to be able to be adapted somehow to the amount of text in each cell, in this case still well in the table go to Table layout, go to Auto-adjust and choose They autofit on to content and one problem is solved. Another problem is uneven line heights. As you can see, visuals each have one line of text while the last has two lines of text, so I don't even want every cell to be the same height we could be tempted to do this manually, but it will take a long time, so a better alternative is to select the entire tab or go to the table layout and click distribute row have another problem just need to fade away, so visually ok but the other rose has only one line of text and you can see that the text is skewed to the top and we really want the text to be in the middle of the line, so visually it looks amazing again try to do nothing manually just select the whole table go to alignment and click on this button align left center vertically and left horizontally and our problem is solved in this table you can see that between the table edge and text at all there is no space and what we really want is a little space in between but we don't have to do it manually just select the entire table go to the table layout go to the cell border and you can see that here by default the left cell border is set to 0, that's why there is no space between the table edge and the text for all we really have to do is add a little space and a problem is solved and the next paper has a cell spread over the pages that we don't like it, so we tried to put it down like that for Shipley, but please don't, because an hour later, whom If the table increases more taxes there will be problems, what we should do is select the entire table, go to the table property row and you can have this one option here that allows a single row to break across the pages , and it's on by default, so all we have to do is to uncheck that option and in the future any raw data that tries to break the pages will be managed automatically and one problem will be resolved
