what you still have a article for here, this was requested by Mike.
He said he was having problems with his Realtek HD audio manager and he said that it is either not installed, or installed and not working, or not showing up in Control Panel or in one of those places so if you go to your Control Panel here and you don't see, if you go to big icons in the top right corner, if you don't see Realtek here and it's missing what this is and it doesn't open or anything like that, then I'll show you some things you can do around fix this problem. It's a known problem with Windows 10 and it sometimes happens after an update, a major update or something similar even though it's there. There are several reasons why it just disappears and you don't seem to be able to access it.
The first thing you want to do is right click the boot tape here and go to Device Manager. Here you can see we have some options open to what is our sound, where all your sound stuff should be by now, if you want to see Realtek HD definition audio here or some sort of Realtek in here, click what you want to do right click on it and you can try updating your driver still not working, what you want to do is that properties are ok there. So if you come here you want to look for the device that is working properly and if it shows up that is a good sign then you can go to your driver here and what you want to do is update your driver so go to here and then this box will open you want to search my computer for driver software go in here and let me choose from the list of available drivers for my computers in here you can see the Realtek high definition audio here and then click Next and this will then start installing that on your system.
Okay and try if that doesn't work I'll show you some other steps you can take all right, correcting this is sue, so let's just get this over done and I'll be right back, okay that's done, me want to restart your computer and try to fix and resolve the problem. Also check out the driver date and version here which are also important just to make sure that sometimes you have the latest version if the latest one doesn't work, maybe go back a generation and try to get it working if it worked before so try restarting here once and you want to say yes here and restart your computer now. Once you've restarted your computer, you'll want to come to this link.
I'll put the link in the article description for you and you can download the actual real tech drivers from here and this is from Microsoft Update the catalog when you go here and I've shown the version above. You can check for a version there if you want, but these are the versions here and you can download them. You can see here that these are the latest versions for Windows 10 Full Creators Update and the latter driver maintenance for it ok and you can see them listed here below, now also down here you can also see Windows 10 and the latter drivers here below, which is one hundred and thirty-five point six megabytes, so that's what you want? Download the ones that match your computer.
You can see a list for the anniversary update here, in case you are still using the anniversary version of Windows 10 and don't want to update to the Creators Update, you can then download that version and you can see here that they are pretty big, so download this one just download and install it and here you have your cab file that you just downloaded and you can see it is a compressed file if you use 7-zip you can see when you open it here are a lot of files in there as you can see INF files here and you have your files in here ok and you can install them in other ways too I made articles about this installing CAD files if you want to see i think i have made a article of this, if i didn't let me know in a comment section below and i will make a article on how to install saved files so what You'll want to do this once that's done. If that doesn't work, we have other options open so you have your motherboard manufacturer's website. Now you can see the motherboard for this computer the GA Z 270 Gaming K3 is here and you want to come over to your motherboard manufacturer's website.
If you don't know what your motherboard is, I already made a article how to make one Find motherboard number and you can go to the website and then you want to go to the website here and look at the support, click on it and it will then give you the option to choose your operating system. In this case it is Windows 10 and here you can see that we have the Realtek HD audio driver. This is the one that you can download from any of these places depending on where you are in the world and you can check out the version right here you might want to do it that way, it might be easier to install, if you don't know how to install CAD files now.
Another way to get the file is through the Realtek website which you can visit here and you can accept their terms and conditions as you can see. Click on Continue. This will take you to your download page here and you can now see that the driver is only offered for Windows 10, here also Windows 8.1 8 and 7 and Vista 64-bit and 32-bit you need to find out which version of Windows you are using and then you can download the version you need right now.
If you don't know how to do that, there are articles I made to show you how to determine whoever you're using a 32-bit or 64-bit system, but these days they are most machines continue to be 64-bit. Once you've done this, you can install this and see when I click here it downloads an executable that is 252 megabytes in size. It's pretty massive in some ways, but just download and install it now if it still doesn't show up in your control panel, what you can do is go down here I'll show you where to go in your file explorer to your C drive in here, these are your program files if you are into program files want to look for real tech here go to Audio HDA in here you will see all the drivers that have been installed on your system, if so and you see all of these then you are good to go.
These are the actual files running your actual Realtek HD audio manager. So if you click on it you will see it generally opens now when you start the service you can see there is a service here Audio service make sure this service is running and you have this service also run this file here which is your rev cpl 64 bit if you click on it this should then be pasted back into your control panel It is a known bug and it will fix it so these ar e your files can You click on this and this is your update as you can see here, this will update your Realtek and you also have your GUI here, what is your grief to activate it as soon as you can access it from here send this too to your desktop if you want and put a shortcut from it on your desktop or pin it to your system tray or once you have those files in here you can even put them back in your control pane l lay and I made articles to show you how to add items to your control panel. It's very simple and hopefully that should solve your Realtek HD audio problem.
