Hi folks, welcome to my HYR Tutorials channel. Today we are going to discuss an interesting topic, that is when we start a solar eclipse, sometimes this error occurs. A JRE or JDK must be available to run Eclipse.
This is the most common bug in Eclipse. So if you are getting this error what are you likely to do? Downloading a new Eclipse that isn't the solution. Even sometimes when you download a new Eclipse it doesn't fix the error.
Today we're going to see how we can fix these errors. Here is my eclipse and i will try to start my eclipse; so you can see the error stating that JDK or JRE is not available to start the eclipse. So what we need to do is we can fix this problem with two methods: Method 1 - add the JDK or JRE bin folder to the path variable and method 2 - add the location of javaw.exe in the eclipse.ini file added.
So when you try to start an Eclipse, Eclipse looks for javaw.exe files internally. If you didn't set a path like the JRE or JDK folder path, Eclipseclip will throw up this error whatever we saw before if you can't find the javaw.exe file.
So let me show you each method so I'm going to move on to method 1 first i.e. H.
Add the JDK or JRE bin folder to the path variables. Some of you may have doubts about just adding the JDK path No, it is not required as Eclipse is looking for the javaw.exe file javaw.exe file will be available under JRE and JDK.
Let me show you that I am allowed to open my Java installation directory so here is my Java installation directory I have both JDK and JRE so when I open JDK I have the bin folder here, I just open the bin folder and you can see the javaw.exe file here. So similarly let me show you the JRE so you can also see the javaw.exe in JRE so you can add JDK or JRE path ok but it should point to the bin location Some of you have the JDK -Path might already be added, but you still have this problem.
Let me tell you what could be the reason, if you add the JDK path, you maybe just added up the JDK folder that you didn't add up to the bin folder. So if you just add up to the JDK it tries to look in these 12 items so that the javaw.exe is not found.
Do we need to add the bin folder to add the bin folder? my path environment variables I need to open my environment variables here right click on this pc go to properties -> go to advanced system settings -> click on environment variables so look for the path variable here, so here is my path variable just click edit and check if you already have a JDK here - or added JRE path, you can see here that I've already added a JDK path, but still I can properly address the problem I'm NOT pointing to the bin folder here I'm just pointing to the JDK folder, so let me edit this path and add the bin folder. Now you can see that there is no error and I am asked for the location of the workspace. So let's try to fix this problem by adding the JDK bin folder path to the environment variables.
Now let's see the second method. So now I'm going to remove my environment variable because I can't reproduce the problem properly so I'm removing the environment variable, I leave it as it is before, it only points to JDKokay .. so I'm going to go to the eclipse so now you can see that I am able to generate error permissions, click OK.
The second method is to add the javaw.exe location in Eclipse.ini files.
Where is this file located? So if you download an Eclipse after you've extracted the Eclipse file, you might see all of these folder rights. Right under the Eclipse executable is the Eclipse dot INI file so that Eclipselike will save the configuration settings where it should find the javaw.exe file, all you can mention the inconfiguration settings file.
In the second method, we don't add the bin folder path or anything to the environment variables, but add it directly to the Eclipse. The difference between method 1 and method 2 is that if you have multiple Eclipse versions, method 1 will work with all Eclipse versions if you have Eclipse One Eclipse Two if you have set the bin folder path in the environment variables start Eclipse 1 and 2 with no errors, but in the second method it is limited to Eclipse only. We do not set the path at the system level, we change Eclipse configuration settings so that only this Eclipse can detect where the javaw.exe file is located.
So if you open the other Eclipse you might get an error because that eclipse.ini file doesn't have these javaw.exe file locations.
If you are using multiple Eclipses, I strongly recommend that you use method 1 then you can also choose method 2 and some of you may work in some companies where you may have the limitations of editing the environment variables. In this case, of course, you need to use method 2. Now let me show you the method 2I will just change the eclipse.ini file all you need to do is before VM args we need to add the javaw.exe file location bin folder I will copy this path and then javaw. exe correct, so now i hit save.
Let me go back to Eclipse and try starting Eclipse again so that will fix the problem. So we can fix it in two methods based on your needs you can choose the method and try to fix it guys, thank you guys for watching my article

Why is my Java plugin throwing an exception?
Log.txt It looks like the exception thrown while calling JavaLanguageServerPlugin.logInfo is caused by having a null context, which would be caused by the plugin being stopped at that point. So I doubt the exception causes the problem, but is rather a symptom of the server being stopped prematurely.
